Use this map to navigate to the venue with your Smartphone

From the Airport
The only easy way to get to Heriot-Watt University from Edinburgh Airport is to travel by taxi. It will normally take you around 30 minutes. There are black cabs waiting outside, but if you want to save some money, check the Travelling By Taxi section below.

From Haymarket or Waverley Stations
If you’ve come to us by train, you might notice there are lots of road works going on around both stations. For this reason, you might find it easiest to take a taxi. However, Edinburgh does have great bus links from both stations towards Heriot-Watt University and staff at the stations will be happy to direct you to the nearest bus stop. From Haymarket it will take around 30 minutes, from Waverley you are best to leave 50 minutes for travel.

From City Centre Hotels
If you are staying in Edinburgh City Centre, you should probably leave around 50 minutes for travelling out to Heriot-Watt University on Tuesday morning. The easiest way to get here is to take a taxi, or to travel by bus.

Taking a Taxi
Capital Cars private hire are much cheaper (at least 20% cheaper, in fact) than getting a black cab from around Edinburgh. Book a car by phoning 0131 777 7777 and ask to go to Heriot-Watt University Gait 2. When you get here, remember to look out for the Postgraduate Centre pictured below!

Taking the Bus
Lothian Buses service 25 or 34 will also both get you to the university if you’d rather take the bus. Make sure you board a bus heading towards Riccarton and you’ll need £1.40 exact change! Either look out for the Postgraduate Centre pictured below, or if you arrive at the main reception look out for the Predicting Perceptions signs which will lead you to the venue. Don’t be afraid to ask the people at the front desk for directions to the Postgraduate Centre, they’ll be very happy to help.
Lothian Buses have Google Maps of the bus stops, as well as live bus information here:

Driving to Heriot-Watt
Heriot Watt University is half a mile from the Calder Junction of the A720 City of Edinburgh by-pass and the A71, and you’ll see signs for Heriot-Watt University on your approach. Look out for Car Park A, B or C as you pass the Heriot-Watt sign and head towards the main reception for free parking for the duration of your visit.
